Uptown Jungle in Phoenix

Uptown Jungle in Phoenix is the newest Valley location, and was “so much fun we could go again and again” as my kids put it! Attractions in the main play area include mega structure play, air floor, climbing walls, spider tower, super slides, obstacle course, ninja course, ball buster, and more.

If you did not fill out the waiver online, you can stop and do so here. We definitely recommend doing this ahead of time. They can look up your waiver by phone number. Note, each adult had to register under their own number, minors added to the parent’s number. Each location requires its own waiver. Sign the waiver for the Phoenix location here.

Parents are able to join the fun whenever they want but, if you’re only looking for some R&R at the Parents Lounge, no entrance fee is required. There is room to sit and relax while kids play or even get a massage. Free Wi-Fi is available.

The Attractions

This four lane slide is so fun! You can access it near the toddler area (but it is separate from that play space).

This tube slide is similar to the one at the Chandler Uptown Jungle! One side has foot holds for climbing support.

Play basketball or kickball in this fun area! The padding is an air pillow of sorts, with little to no bounce.

Mega Play Structure

The two story play structure has a small ball pit, ball shooter, spider tower, and multiple areas to climb around. There are also a couple slides. Note that there are mutiple entrances and exits. But overall, it’s not difficult to keep track of children in this play structure.

Ninja Course

There is a fun two story ninja course next to the mega play structure. Race with a friend and see who wins as you balance, climb, and leap over obstacles. The climbing net was a hit with our kids! Note that the back of this area can get dark,

Getting There

Uptown Jungle in Phoenix is located on the northwest corner of 32nd and Shea, in the parking lot of Walgreens, ACE, Zipps, and local favorite spot 23 Shea. This area is quickly growing in popularity.

Need a fun game to distract your kids if you need a minute or to prevent a meltdown while attempting to leave? Try Duck Catcher. It is $1 to play, and you play until you win. We discovered one of these at Arizona Boardwalk and it’s so much fun for kids. Seriously, bring singles with you just for this!

It’s worth noting that this new Uptown Jungle in Phoenix location is smaller than the other four Uptowns in the Valley. There are no trampolines, no dodgeball areas, and the structure is two stories vs three stories. This is not a negative review! In fact, some parents may appreciate the smaller space to keep a better eye on kids, or for young children not to feel so lost in the play space. Just be aware of these differences, if you are expecting a similar setup to other locations. You can read about the Uptown Jungles in Mesa, Chandler, Peoria, and Avondale in this post.

  1. Dear Ms. Ollerhead,

I am the Tot Time Lead at this Uptown Jungle (N. Phoenix) and I just found you today online (11/21/2022), and I LOVE your review of our UJ (Uptown Jungle)!!!!, the smallest, most intimate one. Every thing you wrote about is still accurate except the price of our socks went up and the price for memberships has changed. Otherwise, WONDERFUL and the photos FANTASTIC! I am wondering if you would help us promote our Christmas events?
    Sincerely,
