Have you heard about the new aquarium being built in Scottsdale? It’s called OdySea Aquarium and it is slated to be opened in July, 2016. The new aquarium features more than 14 acres of exhibits.
Here’s some of the features of the new aquarium: A touch pool, a 3D theater, acrylic tube walkways, river exhibits (American rivers, Amazon rivers, and Asian rivers), a underwater walking adventure, penguins, the Great Barrier Reef, a cafe, and a gift shop.
The new aquarium is 200,000 square feet and promises to hold more than 2 million gallons of water. They’re expecting to be able to handle 15,000 visitors each day. The aquarium is being built next door to the already open Butterfly Wonderland, which is a favorite in our household.
