Located in Buckeye the Rocker 7 Pumpkin Patch is a bit of a hike for us. But in my opinion well worth it! Hours are limited to Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Admission includes everything at the farm. Only additional things you would need to buy would be food or pumpkins.
I love the way this place is laid out. Games and activities are spread out around the outside making it easy to move along. There is plenty of room for adults to hang out without crowding up the places outside where the kids play. Room for stroller or wagon parking out of the way. Easy to walk to the next thing to do.
I am not sure if it is because we were there on a Friday late morning or if it is because it is on the outskirts of town, but I enjoyed not having a crowd or wait in line for anything! I also love all the fun farm fact and games they have posted throughout the farm.
This is definitely a kid-friendly farm. Probably about 18 months is a good age to start, able to slide and start a little climbing mischief. All rides are included in the cost for admission means you can go on all the quad rides or race all the ducks in water that you want. There is a tractor hay ride that drives around the farm. Our favorite was the quad off roader that had little cars for the kids to ride in. My two-year-olds loved riding and I heard them yelling “faster” and “go go go”!
There is plenty of things for kids to play on, including a jumping pillow, tractor tire playground, corn maze, educational bar, hay barn, corn seed box, baby play area, crop maze, duck race, hayride, sunflower field, pumpkin patch and of course, the petting zoo.
There is a little place to eat in the far back (north) of the farm. Limited menu options but enough. On this visit we opted for a grilled cheese and of course the pumpkin waffle. Two foods my kids will always eat. The pumpkin waffle was amazing! Devoured by my kids and I got a few bites in myself. Although there is only two picnic benches in the back, there is plenty of seating up in the front to go eat if it was busy.
There are several port -o-potties available for use. However for those of us with two toddlers and no one to watch them, I didn’t dare try. There is a hand washing station located near the port-o-potties and petting zoo. I love it because it is a great way to get cleaned up.
On the south west corner of Jackrabbit Trail and Broadway you will see a sign saying “Farm Fresh Family Fun” Turn west and it will be on your left. Not a lot of signs and not totally obvious, however there is a sign right where you turn in that says “Corn Maze Pumpkin Patch”. Follow the dirt road and there is lots of parking in the back.
