Super Bowl Activities for Kids in Phoenix. The Super Bowl LVII is in Glendale on Feb 12, 2023! And there are some fun (and some free) events that will get the kids in the football spirit!

Feb 4-5 & 9-11: Super Bowl Experience at the Phoenix Convention Center. Experience the NFL’s football exhibit with interactive game, photo ops, autographs, and the NFL Shop. More info here.
Feb 6: Opening Night presented by Fast Twitch at the Footprint Center. Media will interview Super Bowl players and coaches at the only public appearance. Opening Night will also have live entertainment, photo ops, special appearances and autographs, team mascots, and more. More info here.
Feb 8 – 12: Historic Old Town EPSN Tailgate in Scottsdale. Every day from 8am to 8pm (8am to noon on game day) join ESPN and Old Town Scottsdale for a free, unique tailgate event along Main Street. Feb 9 – 12: Super Bowl Experience at Hance Park in Phoenix, Free event with entertainment, live music, and food options. More info here.
Feb 11: Bubble Bowl, Park West in Peoria. This all-ages football-fan extravaganza is free to attend and features eight activation stations! Guests can also enjoy a Big Bubbles Zone featuring billions of bubbles, an enormous Foam Zone, roaming bubble performers throughout the event, a DJ, balloon twisters, games and prizes. Feb 11: NFL’s Play Football Family Festival in Chandler. Kids can meet NFL players past and present, learn skills, try on equipment, be on the field, and more. The event is free, signed waiver required. More info here.
Make your own football game at home
I grabbed a few dollar store green baskets and cones. Created a field with masking tape and let the kids practice their touchdown dance.
A few dollar tree finds for some inexpensive game day playing. Pull out anything football related that your kids have collected and gather it all for the big day.
These plastic shot glasses were used as “players” and then stacking challenges.
Turn your corn hole game into a football themed game and stick it outside for the kids (and adults to play)
Pull out those legos and let the kids build their own football field.
Sneak in Education
Use it as a chance to sneak in some educational activities. I used football easter eggs and hid letters inside, this year it’s sight words and math. Older kids could do predictions and much more.

Let kids decorate
Kids love to celebrate all holidays and events. Why not keep them busy while you are cooking and prepping by printing out some things for them to decorate with?

Food
While some people watch the game, some watch the commercials or halftime show, they all eat the snacks. Especially kids. Over the years I have used a football shaped cut out to make sandwiches or cheese slices and put them on a tray. Check out recipes on our Pinterest here.
Balloons
Kids love balloons. You can create a goal post with yellow balloons, footballs with brown balloons or grab some letters for the team names, I chose LVII for this year since it is in Arizona.
