Granada Park in Phoenix

The view at Granada Park in Phoenix is priceless to say the least. Centrally located on 20th St off Lincoln, this is a great location for play dates and meet ups. Big kids playground, little kids playground, rock wall, lots of swings in a large sandy playground. Tons of picnic space, a restroom, and a lagoon round out the location to make it a unique spot. The ducks and the lake are another fun item for the kids.

Playground

A large playground for big kids and a small playground for littles, three sets of swings, and a rock wall are all in the sand filled playground. The little playground has slides, a rock wall and  shade cover. The large playground has monkey bars, tic tac toe, slides, a rock wall and great climbing!

Picnic

Phoenix New Times names Granada Park the “Best Picnic Spot” in 2019 and I can see why. This beautiful park, with amazing views of Piestewa Peak is gorgeous. The large open grassy areas are perfect for an afternoon picnic. There is a little shade, but not a lot. Probably not the best spot for middle of the summer meals. I love that there are trash and recycle bins spread throughout the park.

Park

Amenities at Granada Park in Phoenix include art sculpture, lighted tennis courts, grills, playground, lagoon, fishing, picnic area, and restrooms. Note for parents: the restrooms are not conveniently located to the park. Not the bet for quick children related “emergencies”.  There is also access to the Arizona Canal Path if you want to walk, run or push your way along. Read more about this path and how it can be enjoyed for bike riding!

Getting There

The parking lot off 20th Street is large and has plenty of parking. If you are going to the playground, you may want to park off Ocotillo, just north of the park.
