The lodging is the star: each dome is themed! Choose from PAC-man (like we did), Hello Kitty, space, secret agent, and more. Bathrooms with a full shower are included inside, plus extras like a mini-fridge, a telescope, seating, and the best sunset views ever all from the comfort of your room. Stay cool in the summer or warm in the winter with the air conditioning/heater combo. The adjustable shower wand was super handy for rinsing off little feet before bed!

Our circular bed was huge, and fit two adults + toddler perfectly, while the other two kiddos slept in the comfy loft. We also had a cool retro video game console to play! We had friends staying in a Hello Kitty dome and they loved their pink and p0ppin’ decor as well.

On-site you’ll find lawn games like chess and connect four and cornhole, a playground, bouncy pillow, oversized bikes, and volleyball. Adults can even ride the bikes (but it might not be easy, ha). We were thankful for the variety of outdoor play options. In the evenings especially the kids would wear themselves out on the bouncy pillow and swing to their heart’s content. But wait! There’s more!

In the welcome dome you can find games to borrow, drinks and snacks for purchase, and the opportunity to sign up for stargazing tours. Our kids LOVED this one, definitely recommend it. Our tour was a group one, but you can also sign up for your own personal stargazing tour at your dome, complete with hot chocolate. Note that all drink and snack purchases, plus extra activities, are put on a tab, where you will pay at the end of your stay.

You can also get complimentary s’more kits each night, and watch a star show in the projection dome. The friendly staff is happy to help answer any questions, day or night. The staff also had great suggestions for what to check out nearby. We visited nearby Raptor Ranch on their suggestion and caught a super cool condor show!

Food wise, there is breakfast and dinner offered on-site. You are welcome to eat at the outdoor picnic tables, or in the dining dome. Two restaurants are also just 5 min driving distance away.

As for what to do, go north to the Grand Canyon, or south to Williams! Both offer plenty to do for a full day of fun, and you can find info on our website. On this trip, we tried the new Canyon Coaster Adventure Park, and also explored the south rim of the Grand Canyon. The location of Clear Sky Resort is very handy and a huge plus!

Thank you to Clear Sky for hosting us! We had an amazing getaway, and will forever remember sitting on our dome patio after dark, being fully amazed at the vast sky of stars.

Clear Sky Resort is located about 30 minutes north of Williams, and 25 minutes from the Grand Canyon. Domes can sleep 2-7 people depending on the option chosen. You can learn more and book on their website.
