Have you been to Horizon Park in Scottsdale? It’s a sweet park located on Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. to the east of the 101. This park runs along the canal, and is a great starting point for a run or walk.
Playground
The south playground got a remodel completed in February 2020! Located in the south of the park, behind the softball field. The wood chip playground has three slides, lots of climbing options and a tightrope for walking.
A scavenger hunt is a fun addition to the playground. The city has a plan to put a shade up over this in the near future. There is also a clean restroom located directly next to the park, very convenient.
You can also access the canal trail, which runs over the canal and behind the north playground. From the top you can catch an awesome view of Scottsdale and Westworld!

The north playground, located next to the Community Center, has a big kid playground, little kid playground and two sets of swings. The big kid playground has a climbing wall, slides, monkey bars and plenty of ways to climb.
The little kids playground has a rock wall, slides, games and plenty to climb on. There is a set of swings and a set of toddler swings located between the big and little playground.
Picnic
There are two drop in ramadas on the north side of the park and one on the south.
Things To Do
The community center offers classes for all ages, parent drop off nights, after school programs, camps and more. Drop in activities including Tuesdays at 10 a.m. – 1 p.m, where they have free drop-in activities. Snacks will be provided by the community center as you play Canasta, Scrabble, Hearts, and much more! Visit here for more information.
