Youth

Did I mention the castle? Well, I’m too tall for the top level, but that didn’t stop my kids from enjoying looking out from the top! We did a library-hosted scavenger hunt, played with all the toys, colored a bunch of pages, played in the kitchen, hosted a puppet show and so much more. Worth the drive East to check out for sure!

Each of these backpacks has a different theme and are available to check out. I saw Three Little Pigs, Tigger Backpack, Winnie The Pooh, Weather Backpack, Things That Go and Kindergarten Readiness, along with many many more.

The craft and storytime rooms are pictured below.

Juvenile

As an Aunt with nieces and nephews who love a range of graphic novels, I liked the addition of this room. Although it is next to the children’s play area, you could hide out in here.

Free access to ABC Mouse from tablets.

You can check out tablets.

Book Club, bins of books by the subject that you can check out.

More backpacks with video games and STEM learning are available to check out.

Even more fun things for kids to do around the library.

Fun Van

The fun van offers free parent education and raising a reader class. More information can be found here.

Playground At The Library

There is a castle-themed playground in the courtyard that is shaded to go with the interior castle theme. Such a great way to pull kids outside and burn some energy, or sneak out with a loud kid. Plenty of seats in the shade for adults as well. I saw a few sensory bins that looked interesting.

Cultural Passes and Seeds

Don’ forget to grab a cultural pass or seeds to check out and take with you.

City Complex Park

This partially shaded wood chip playground is just south of the library.

Getting There

Be sure to follow the signs to the “library parking” when you pull in. We parked next to the recreation center and had a little hike to the library.
