Arcadia Park in Scottsdale is very familiar to me. I grew playing here on the corner of 56th and Indian School. The playground has changed but it’s still such a fun park. Also good to know that it is adjacent to Ingleside Middle School and when school is released it is swarmed with kids, so possibly not the best time of day to visit.
Playground
There are two sand playgrounds located next to each other. Each has a sun shade, however not much shade is provided. There are stairs, climbing structures, rock walls, two big kid swings, two toddler swings, ride on animals and a truck, climbing bars, toddler playground and so much sand.
Toddler playground next to the bigger kid playground. Bring along some sand toys if you have little kids who aren’t ready to climb or for a change of pace.
The ride ons are meant for one, however both of my three year olds were able so share. The green grasshopper is built for two.
Picnic
There are numerous ramadas throughout the park, check here for information on when they will re-open. Arcadia Park has multiple picnic benches, most not shaded, throughout the park. There are park benches for surrounding the playground as well as throughout the park. In Phoenix, most parks are first come, first serve. Some have ramadas you can reserve. Inflatables are allowed, with insurance. For more information read here.
Park
Arcadia Park in Scottsdale is open from 5:30am to 10pm. There is a playground, sand volleyball court, large parking lot, acres of grass for soccer or football pop up games. There are lots of trees for shady spots to hide out in during the summer, however actual shade structures over the playground do not provide much shade.
Getting There
The park is located on the south west corner of 56th St and Indian School. There is a large parking lot for parking.
