Our popular blog posts, 10 Best Parks in Phoenix, and 10 More Best Parks in Phoenix, have expanded! We’re excited to have more favorites to recommend to our readers.

Who doesn’t love a good park? Of course, the definition of a good park can vary, but for us here at Phoenix With Kids, this means an engaging and safe playground, space to run around, and usually restrooms as well. The Phoenix Metro area is home to some amazing playgrounds, and we were excited to share this new list of 10 favorites for you to explore!

Signal Butte Park (11132 E Elliot Rd, Mesa, AZ 85212) – dubbed “The Spaceship Park” by our kiddos, Signal Butte is one of the newer additions to the East Valley. Older kids especially will love the geometric shapes with climbing options connected by tunnels and the huge slide. A unique toddler playground is also included, and nearby slides. Washington Park (6655 N 23rd Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85015) – this park offers a seasonal pool, community center, and numerous tennis courts, as well as a newly updated playground with a zipline! Ziplines are not common at Phoenix parks so the kids were super excited. Also look for a separate ninja course that teens will love. Read our review here.

Desert Trails Bike Park (2801, 3057 N Recker Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215) – no playground here, but you will plenty numerous trails and tracks for kids of all ages to bike on! There are two beginner tracks in particular that will build confidence in kids, and prepare them for the steeper trails. Read our review here.

Paloma Community Park (29799 N Lake Pleasant Pkwy, Peoria, AZ 85383) – this North Peoria park is a must visit! With a huge toddler playground and a huge big kid playground (can’t miss the three story climbing structure too), kids will be entertained for hours. There’s also a seasonal splash pad, a lake for fishing, a dog park, and lots of walking paths. Read our review here.

Margaret T. Hance Park (67 W Culver St, Phoenix, AZ 85003) – don’t miss this park! It’s so unique, with three oversized animals to crawl in, a ropes course, white sand play area, and more! A seasonal splash pad and lots of grassy areas complete this newly updated park. Read our review here.

Mountain View Park (8625 E Mountain View Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85258) – this covered playground has a fun teeter-totter, spinning play fun, and lots of slides. We were happy to see this favorite spot updated last year! It also accesses the Indian Bend Wash bike park, perfect for walking and biking. Read our review here.

Surprise Community Park (16089 N Bullard Ave, Surprise, AZ 85374) – the West Valley has some great parks, and this is one of them! The playground is lengthy, wheelchair accessible too, with plenty of slides and climbing options. Don’t miss the lake for fishing and ducks, and the nearby aquatic center and library. Eastmark Park (5100 S Eastmark Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85212) – we fell in love with this park! The playground is dubbed “The Orange Monster” for it’s bright orange, playful equipment (think a climber’s dream), and there’s plenty of grassy areas for play and picnics, a small lake, and a splash pad. Festival Fields Park (101 E Lower Buckeye Rd, Avondale, AZ 85323) – ever been to a park that has it all? Well Festival Fields might be it. The playground is huge and unique, with a four story climbing structure sure to please kids. There’s also a great splash pad, plus a skate park and lake!

Peterson Park (Southern Ave. and, S Priest Dr, Tempe, AZ 85282) – for toddler especially, this newly updated park is sure to please with its farm theme! The playground has the familiar slides and climbs, with red barn door features, and there are cows statues to climb on. Read our review here.
