Phoenix With Kids began as a short list of things to do in Phoenix.
The list kept growing as we found new things to do, and friends asked for recommendations. Then we figured why not put the list on a website for others to enjoy – and Phoenix With Kids was born in 2013!
The website has grown exponentially over the years — along with its reach. And now, it is one of the leading online resources for Phoenix locals and those visiting Phoenix.
Phoenix With Kids is the brand of Jana and Chris Tingom. Together with their 3 children, ages 12, 9, and 5 they explore Arizona’s best parks, play places, hikes, resorts, events and other activities.
We’re the Tingom’s – Chris, Jana, Emily, Owen, and Claire. We’re a family that happens to love sharing things to do and places to go in Phoenix, and all over Arizona! We love what our city and state have to offer at any time of the year!

Together, we all enjoy bike riding, hiking, watching America’s Funniest Home Videos, and swimming. We love day trips too! Chris and Jana have been married since September 2010, and homeschool the kids (and we were homeschooled ourselves!).
Chris: website guru, coffee lover, Phoenix native, bacon enthusiast, and still searching for my wayward drone lost on a mountaintop
Jana: stay-at-home mom, blogger, also a coffee lover, travel enthusiast, and aspiring photographer/photojournalist
Emily: age 12, all about books, Cricut, Minecraft, Jiu Jitsu, art and ice skating
Owen: age 9, all about bugs, the Nintendo Switch, Jiu Jitsu, Winnie-the-Pooh, and LEGOs
Claire: age 5, all about food and outside play, Beauty and the Beast, and Elephant and Piggie books
