Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show With Kids

Kim Gudykunst Ollerhead

The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show with kids is a unique way to get up close with the famous Arabian horses! The 2024 show runs February 15-25.

Held at WestWorld in Scottsdale, the event has competitions, food, shopping and auctions. We arrived just in time to meet an Arabian horse. They lead you into a small arena near the entrance in the North Hall where you can say hi, climb up and take a picture.

Next we wondered around the North Hall. Medieval Times had a booth set up on the front giving out crowns and swag. You could take a picture with the royals and we also met an Eagle from Liberty Wildlife! Of note, the North Hall also has lots of shopping (think: toys) so plan accordingly. We also enjoyed painted a ceramic horse to take home!

We spent a lot of time going back and forth between the warm up arenas and the competition arenas (typically next to each other so you could watch the whole process). It’s been a while since I had been to a horse show so I had forgotten all of the things they were judging on! But the show offers a handout which the kids were quizzing me on. Keep in mind it can be very warm in the sun and you need to drink water.

Check out the activities schedule and listen to the announcers. For example I did not know the barn tour had a set start time and we couldn’t find the right Meet up spot. We missed the whole tour. You can view all the activities here.

General Admission (with no reserved seat) to the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is $15. Seats starting at $25. 12 and under are free unless a seat is required. Full price list can be found here.

Westworld is located at 16601 N Pima Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85260 .
