October is a time for spooky celebrations and delightful fall festivities – and there are plenty of corn mazes in Phoenix! Even though autumn in Arizona doesn’t have that crisp chill in the air, we can still celebrate the season with fun family events all around the valley. Here is a list of corn mazes you might want to experience this year, including options around Arizona.
Schnepf Farms has something for everyone, offering not one, but two different corn mazes. The smaller one is a 4-acre easy walk through that can be accessed directly across from the ropes course. It’s a great place for photos since it may be less busy than the larger one. But don’t be fooled, this maze is still a challenge! The second one is a 10-acre area that has been mapped into a tribute to country music legend Reba McEntire. This one is accessed via hayride which you get to by walking left after the entrance, and past all the food booths. This event takes place Thursdays through Sundays for the entire month of October.
The mazes are included with your entry ticket, as well as a variety of rides and shows. This one also sells out fast, so purchase your tickets online in advance. Tickets are $25 per person, and $10 discounts are available for seniors, military personnel and first responders with ID.

According to their website, the sordid tale of mysterious lore beings with a field of corn that was accidentally planted over an ancient burial ground, and the undead have returned to seek revenge on those who would dare trespass and disturb their eternal resting place. Get a babysitter and leave the kiddos home for this event. It’s to die for!
Hours of operation are Fridays and Saturdays and Halloween night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Ticket prices are $25.

The name says it all (and the website disclaimer). Fear Farm corn maze and haunted house experiences are not recommended for children under 12 years old. Sponsored by a company called Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, this chilling event promises to be a real scream, presenting a Midway feel, with food booths of cotton candy, funnel cake, popcorn and sodas, and the occasional zombie roaming around. Attractions include names such as “The Rot Shop,” “Infestation,” “Hollow House,” and “Depths of Darkness.” This is considered an intense undead experience with a target audience of teenages and non-corporial wandering souls. Prices vary from $30 to $35 depending on the selected date.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Apple Annie’s is an active family farm, set against the gourd-geous (sorry, I had to) backdrop of the Winchester Mountains. Their 12.5 acre corn maze offers three levels of difficulty, so you can come for a relaxing stroll or a challenge. Grab your passport and answer questions along the way. Correct answers will point you in the right direction!

Corn Mazes in Phoenix
Mortimer Farm has begun their annual Pumpkin Fest and Corn Maze event, advertising this year’s theme around water conservation. They are way ahead of the *ahem* carve, showing that even farms can conserve water and help make a positive impact on the environment. Their restaurant, Windmill Kitchen, will be available, as well as various food trucks. Pick out your perfect pumpkin while you are there, and visit their store for jams, jellys, and fresh produce. Their blackberry syrup is delicious. Tickets are $25 per person, and infants ages 2 and under are free.

This corn maze does not appear to be at a specific farm location, but it is a corn maze, and that’s what we are here to present. This event is not considered suitable for children. Attractions here include Axe throwing, a zombie paintball shootout, an escape room, and a ghoulishly gruesome corn maze.
Hours of operation are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 6 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday in October. General admission is $28, and some events are ticketed separately at an additional cost. Check the website for more specific directions.
