The City of Phoenix offers some of the best splash pads in the area! There are 13 locations for families to enjoy. City splash pads are open seasonally the last Saturday in May through October 1.

The City of Phoenix offers some of the best splash pads in the area! There are 10 locations for families to enjoy. City splash pads are open seasonally the last Saturday in May through October 1. More information can be found on the city’s website here.

Altadena Park, 3711 E Altadena Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85028 – Playground and splash pad, no restrooms

Cityscape, 1 E Washington St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 – Splash pad and restrooms

Civic Space Park, 424 N Central Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85004 –  Splash Pad, no restrooms. NOTE: Splash Pad open Monday – Friday: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Sunday: Closed

Dust Devil Park, 10645 W Camelback Rd, Glendale, AZ 85307 – Playground and splash pad, restrooms, skate plaza, basketball courts

What to bring to a splashpad? Needed items can vary by age of child. Ours always include:

  • swim suits with rashguard
  • sunscreen
  • hats
  • buckets or small cups for play
  • snacks
  • lots of water to drink
  • towels
  • plastic or reusable bag for wet suits

Other possible needed items:

  • water shoes (surfaces can be slippery)
  • extra swim diapers for little ones
  • change of clothes
  • picnic lunch
  • camping chair for parent (not all locations have enough seating)
  • blanket for children to sit on

  2. Id love to see Barrios Unidos Park splash pad before taking my kids there, I tried looking it up but nothing came up :/
