Festival Fields Park (101 E Lower Buckeye Rd, Avondale, AZ 85323) – this is a new park to us in general, much less knowing it had a splashpad. But it’s an amazing splashpad! The kids love ones with variety; this one had dumping buckets, little fountains, some fun half circle sprays, and a few surprises. It is hand activated, so look for waist high blue post with the hand outline. There’s a large group of shaded picnic tables nearby, and some stone benches with minimal shade. Restrooms are also nearby. Note that it is near a lake; the lake is loosely fenced by the splashpad but please watch your children. Splashpad hours could not be found. More information can be found herehttps://www.avondaleaz.gov/government/departments/parks-recreation/parks.

Friendship Park (12325 W McDowell Rd, Avondale, AZ 85323) – the beauty of this splashpad? It’s gated! And has partial shade cover. Probably most noticeable is the super high (might be 15 feet!) fountain that shoots into the sky! This splashpad has all familiar water features, but in a small space so it might not be the best choice when crowded. There are benches inside the splashpad, and restrooms right outside by the playground. More about this amazing park can be found here. Splashpad hours are weekdays 9am-7pm, and weekends 8am-8pm; the splashpad usually starts the first weekend in April, and run weekends until Memorial Day, where it switches to daily. More information can be found here.

Goodyear Community Park (3151 N Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ 85395) – this splashpad kept our kids entertained for awhile! There’s a little bit of everything, from ground fountains for toddlers, twistable sprayers, an epic spray tunnel (think like a car wash, ha), and five dumping buckets. The spray features alternate, which the kids weren’t sure of at first, but it kept things interesting! There are four ramadas around the splashpad with picnic tables, and some turf grass, plus two playgrounds which are partially covered. Restrooms are located past the basketball and volleyball courts (not near the splashpad or playgrounds). Splashpad hours are 9am-8pm, 7 days a week, from the 3rd Monday in April to the 3rd Monday in October. More information can be found here.

City of Tolleson Splashpad (9257 W Van Buren St, Tolleson, AZ 85353) – this little splashpad of fountains is shaded, a rare find in the Phoenix area! It’s located in downtown Tolleson, with shops and restaurants around. Seating is along the edges, and we found free parking on side streets. Note that it IS next to a busy street, and not gated. Hours are 8am-9pm, 7 days a week. More information can be found here.
