The Pratt Brothers Christmas at Rawhide in Chandler is bigger and better than ever, and at a new location!
Main Street
The walk down Main Street through Rawhide takes you on a walk down the brightest main street in town. You can walk from the stage with live entertainment and food trucks, past Ivy and Sage, the town jail, Santa himself, the Dare To Dream exhibit, Writing letters to Santa, the western stunt show, cookie decorating, festive drinks, all the way to the train ride, famous gingerbread house and even snow!
Gingerbread House Light Show
This is the display that inspired it all when Kyle and Sammy Pratt decorated the front of their house with about half a million Christmas lights turning it into a Gingerbread House. Pyrotechnics and fancier shows were added to the display. It runs about 10 min twice an hour.
I could not pull my kids away from the Gingerbread House Light Show. We watched it at least 3 times. They were just as happy as they were 5 years ago when they first saw it.
Snow Show
The snow falling from the rooftops was even more fun than I imagined. The kids had a blast dancing in the snow. They said it felt just like real snow!
Cookie Decorating and S’mores
You can add on cookies and/or s’mores to your night. There is an indoor and outdoor location for decorating your giant cookie. S’more fire pits were located in this beautiful set up town.
The Very Merry Christmas Parade
The announcer said the parade was passing through in a few minutes, so we got our spots and it was like the whole place parted main street leaving room for floats to drive by and everyone was silent with anticipation. It felt like Disneyland. Mrs Claus, gingerbread house, a party truck, characters, Rudolph and hie friends carrying Santa in his sleigh winding up the parade. Better than Disneyland. I was speechless and we wanted to keep running down the street behind the parade just to keep watching!
Holiday Express Train Ride
This train originated in the driveway and garage of the Pratt brothers house and now it takes you back in time to see dinosaurs! Not going to spoil it for you, pictures don’t do it justice. Make sure you take a deep breath in by the peppermint.
Dare To Dream
Stop in this exhibit to hear the story behind two brothers who dared to dream and came up with this spectacular event.
Ivy and Sage
With both a Sweet Shoppe and Merchant Store, there is something for everyone. I saw a great variety of stocking stuffers, unique Christmas decor and so much fun. There were a few inexpensive little items in the Sweet Shoppe if you are looking for a tiny prize for the kids.
Letters To Santa
We wrote our annual letter to Santa. Definitely stop and write one, we got letters back from Santa himself last year!
Mrs Claus
We ran into Mrs Claus by this gorgeous carriage early in the night. She made her way around the crowd, and we stopped for hugs each time. As we left at the end of the night she said she hopes the kids get the robot cat and toy computer they asked Santa for and waved goodbye. The kids had forgotten mentioning it to her earlier in the night and were shocked she knew, I was impressed she remembered!
Santa Experience
This $8 add on was above and beyond worth it. First, beautiful display for Santa, second, the big man himself was amazing with the kids. He asked if they were naughty or nice, talked to them about their gifts, specified a few details on one kid’s request (thank you for that by the way) and he actually took time to spend with the kids. As well as asking me and my Mom to join in for a photo.
Anther great year from Pratt Brother Entermazement. We look forward to seeing everything each year.
Tips if you are visiting in 2023:
Go early, we arrived about 15 minutes before opening and there was already a line
Pick s’mores OR a cookie. I feel like we spend a lot of time doing these activities
Ride the train early. It is worth it.
Check the map or the list of things to do online. We were there from open to close and didn’t even do it all! We chose to skip the stunt show and any Christmas movies but time passed so fast and I was bummed we missed them.
