Hoopes Park in Chandler

Hoopes Park in Chandler is a park we found by accident a few years ago when the play place we were headed to was busy. So when we found ourselves in the area, I knew it would be fun to play again. When we first visited this large climbing structure style playground  my kids were not big enough to climb all the way to the top by themselves, and now there is nothing they can't climb!

Hoopes Park in Chandler is a park we found by accident a few years ago when the play place we were headed to was busy. So when we found ourselves in the area, I knew it would be fun to play again. When we first visited this large climbing structure style playground  my kids were not big enough to climb all the way to the top by themselves, and now there is nothing they can’t climb!

Playground

This wood chip playground has one large shade over the play area which is nice.  Four big kid swings and two toddler swings are far apart, but a good way to keep kids spread out. The spinning seats were a big hit with my three year olds.  The rock wall, climbing rope wall, slides, curly q slide and bridges, it’s a fun playground.

My kids enjoyed the little details of the general store and post office on the bottom of the playground. Great addition for younger siblings, non climber, or any kid with an imagination!

Picnic

There are several ramadas located throughout the park.  Two of which are visible to the playground. There are also lots of tall shade trees, making this a great place for a blanket and picnic.

Park

Hoopes Park in Chandler has a playground, lighted basketball court, pavilions, walking trails, soccer field and lots of grass.

Getting There

There is parking along Palamino Drive to the south and Mesquite to the north of the park. We visited on a weekend and parked near the playground in the elementary school parking lot.
