Flagstaff Snow Park is located about 2 hours north of Phoenix, and near Flagstaff, AZ. The park area offers tubing and a place for families to enjoy snow play! This special guest post is from PHXkids follower Andrea Shafer. Shared with permission.
We got there on a Saturday around 9:45 am (opens at 9), and left around 4:15 pm. It was awesome! Honestly, you could do everything in the 4-hour time slots, but we opted for the whole day tickets and did not disappoint! We took breaks and tried not to rush things.
When it got crowded around 1pm, with the new group coming in, we took the time to go have hot cocoa/cinnamon buns (highly suggest them!) and do the s’mores. And have another snowball fight!
The bright-colored tubes go faster because they’re so new, which was super fun. On that note, beware of congestion on the Orange slope, especially with littles. Everything else is monitored by workers and only allowed to go down the slopes when they’re cleared.
We stayed at the Best Western Pony Soldier Inn. It was cheap and did what was needed for a two nights stay since we were really only in the room to sleep and change. The breakfast was good and free!

- Half-day pass: $14/person ages 3-12, $18/person ages 13-69, seniors free, infant ages 0-2 free, spectators (not tubing) is $9/person. Choose from either morning session (9am-1pm), or afternoon (1pm-5pm). An all-day pass is $21/child and $27/adult. Night tubing, 6-9 pm is available on select days. Tickets are only available online, and may sell out! Purchase in advance.
- Ticket sales based on level of snow. Sometimes tickets are only offered a few days in advance. Follow on social media for updates.
- You can bring your own food. There are also rotating food trucks by the picnic tables, with options like burgers and fries, Mexican, hot dogs, etc. All sell drinks like Gatorade, water, and juice.
- There are a few fire pits to warm up by and do s’mores. Port-a-potties with hand sanitizer are available for use. No indoor lodge area.
- Signs say masks are enforced, but literally, no one wore masks, except just like a few.
- Dogs are allowed, but not on slopes.
