PLAYzona in Glendale is a new and exciting play center that has recently opened in the West Valley area. This facility offers a unique and engaging experience for kids from birth to age 12.
With half a dozen themed play sections to explore, children can immerse themselves in imaginative play in a variety of settings, including a grocery store, school, and hospital. Each of these play sections is designed to stimulate children’s creativity and inspire them to learn and explore.
In the grocery store, kids can fill up their carts with colorful plastic fruits and veggies, practice scanning items at the checkout, and even play cashier. The school section is complete with desks, a magnetic board with letters, and all the supplies needed to play teacher and student. Kids can learn about the human body and medical care in the hospital section, where they can role-play as doctors, nurses, and patients.
In addition to the themed play areas, the center area of PLAYzona features rideable mini cars and fun climbers, perfect for children to climb, slide, and play. There’s also a separate area for babies to play safely, with soft play mats and toys. Older children have their own designated section, which includes a range of crafts, games, and other fun activities to keep them entertained.
Overall, PLAYzona in Glendale offers a fantastic day out for families with children of all ages. The admission prices are very reasonable, with 1 child costing $15, 2 children – $13 each, 3 children – $12 each, 4 children – $11 each. Families can stay and play for as long as they like. There is a separate area for eating, and restrooms.
Of note, while the website states (and the faculty welcomes) kids up to age 12, we felt the activities offered were best for up to age 8. Older kids are also welcome to bring their own activities too, and there is no charge if they don’t use any provided activities or games.
PLAYzona is conveniently located at 8190 W Union Hills Dr Suite 100, Glendale, AZ 85308. The center is open from 9am to 3pm, Wednesday to Monday, with Tuesday being the only day it is closed. So why not pack up the kids and head to PLAYzona this summer for a day of imaginative play and fun-filled adventure?
