The Arrowhead Farmers Market in Glendale is part of the Get Local Arizona Events network and offers dozens of local vendors a place to connect with the public. In addition, this market has fun kid-friendly activities, making it a fun family outing every Saturday!
We stopped by the farmers market this month and were seriously impressed by the vendor options. We found the local farms selling fruits and vegetables, and bakeries with bread and pies; there was homemade food like peanut butter and soda and pasta and hot sauce.
The booths continued down 6 long rows with an extensive collection of vendors selling everything from candles to cute shirts to dog treats and themed drink tumblers. You name it, it was probably there! Or would be there the next week, and vendors change weekly. We quickly learned that if we saw something we loved, it was best to buy it then!
Food truck options ranged from sweets to BBQ to coffee. We are fans of food trucks! This market had some of our favorites, like Waffle Luv, and some new businesses we quickly followed on Instagram. This market is a great place to try some new cuisine! Definitely plan to grab brunch or lunch while browsing. There are tables set up in various places for eating time, which was handy.
Activities for the kiddos can include a bouncy house, a barrel train ride, face painting, and a balloon artist. Note that these activities do cost. It’s so nice when events include extras for kids. Mom and Dad can take turns shopping solo – that’s what we did!
The Arrowhead Farmers Market in Glendale is offering some extra fun on Saturday, October 29th. Kids can come dressed in costumes and trick or treat from booth to booth. This will run at the same time as the market hours, which are 9am-1pm.
