I had booked our 3 minute time slot for 12:30 p.m. for our 3 girls, but when we got there, I asked if we could do two photos, one of the girls, and one we could all be in. The friendly elves told us they were not too busy and this was a good time to take two pictures. I was impressed at the festive detail in the background. It really looked like the north pole!

The line was short, less than five minutes. We walked up to Santa and took our two photos. Then we turned around and Santa asked each of the girls what they wanted for Christmas, and spent a minute talking to them. Before we left, he gave them each a mini candy cane, and said Merry Christmas!

At the photo kiosk, we were given a copy of each photo for free, with the option of purchasing a larger photo package. But the 4×6 photo was free even without a purchase! I bought a digital copy for $15.99. Each of the girls also received a reindeer plush, a decorate your own turkey bag, and a reindeer paper hat. We were so impressed with all these free gifts!

Visit Santa at Bass Pro Shop

This experience was by far, easier and more fun than any mall Santa we have ever done. I highly recommend booking your family a time slot at the Bass Pro Shop Santa Village this year. We had a wonderful time and got to enjoy the other fun displays at the store after the pictures.

Note that you can also visit Santa for free at Cabela’s in Glendale. Masks not required, no plexiglass barrier, kids/family sit on a bench in front of Santa and not on his lap. Visit the website for more information!
