Sycamore Grove Park and Splash Pad in Glendale is located on Emil Rovey Parkway between Northern and Glendale Avenue, tucked away inside the neighborhood. Now, despite it being a public city park, parking for this park and splash pad is a little tricky!

The city of Glendale lists the address for Sycamore Grove as 86th Ln. & Emil Rovey Pkwy, but you’ll quickly find that that address takes you to the road you can’t park on, and if you drive around to the closest neighborhood entrance, the streets are lined with signs that say, “no street parking.”

However, I found a spot to park that has an entry that leads you right to the park and allows for street parking! Type in these coordinates, and then park along the cinderblock wall! (33.5466914, -112.2462583)

I’m not sure why the city designed this park with terrible parking, but it does make for a more quiet park and splash pad experience, which I can totally appreciate!

The Sycamore Grove splash pad has several ground water spouts and a large flower that sprays water. The splash pad hours run from 10 am-7 pm Memorial Day to Labor Day, and the park is open seven days, 6 am- 10 pm.

The park has two separate and shaded play structures with five total slides, climbing equipment, and no swings. There are basketball courts, volleyball courts, a few ramadas, and grills to host activities.

There are no bathrooms available and little room to ride bikes, so plan for that!

Now, despite the downsides of limited parking and no bathrooms, we enjoy this splash pad over the sometimes too busy, larger neighboring splash pad, Pioneer Park!

Sycamore Grove is small and quaint, and if you visit Sycamore Park in the evenings, chances are you may also catch the ice cream truck driving by! (they only take cash, though, so prepare for that!) You can learn more about the park here.
