We stopped by this woodchip park during a park hopping afternoon in Central Phoenix. The kids immediately went to the green climber and stayed there for a while. It’s uniquely built to allow kids (maybe adults too, hah) to make it from one end to the other with little skill. Just don’t look down!

There are a set of swings nearby, two toddler and two regular swings. What’s a park without swings?

The playground itself is decent-sized. One end is for younger children, with a couple of slides, and a climbing ramp. It is connected to the bigger playground by a small bridge. The other side has its own slides, including a twisty slide, and a handful of other climbing options.

We didn’t stay long at this park, but again, it would be a good option for play if you lived nearby. There are a couple of small shade structures over the playground too, which may help extend playtime when the temperature rises.

West Plaza Park in Glendale is a little corner park that has no restroom, street parking only, and a multi-purpose field. There is also a bench by the playground, a grill, and a water fountain. Of note, this park has a Glendale address, but is managed by the City of Phoenix.
