What most impressed me, aside from the neat creatures, is that the establishment is run by a thirteen-year-old young man named Ulysses, who is well informed and passionate about his reptiles.

Lizard’s for Kids and More is a smaller establishment, but despite it’s size, we spent a little over an hour learning about and engaging with the reptiles!

Entry and tours to Lizards for Kids and More in Glendale is by online appointment only and can easily be booked on their website. The cost per entry is $8/adult, and $2/child.

Lizards for Kids and More also accepts online donations for more lizard food and maintenance. The purchase of a few of the variety of lizards is also available.

We enjoyed our experience so much that we bought some of the Lizards for Kids and More “swag.”

Some examples of the “swag” are “chameleon cups” that change from blue to purple when cold; the Kids LOVED those! We also bought little lizards that my daughter used to take us on her own “Lizards for Kids and More tour.”

Just outside the establishment while you wait for the tour, they offer cornhole and shade, or you can grab a beverage and snacks from the coffee and tea shop located in front of Lizards and Kids for more.

We all enjoyed ourselves! The kids enjoyed touching and learning about the animals, and my husband lived out his childhood dream of holding a Costa Rican Red-Eyed Tree Frog! It was fun for the whole family!
