Reigning Grace Ranch in Scottsdale offers over 10 different programs for ages 5 to adults – all with the theme of learning with horses and other animals!
This ranch is a working horse ranch, with almost 90 horses of various breeds. Some are rescues, some are retired from shows or racing. Just like each horse comes with a unique story and personality, Reigning Grace Ranch believes that each person has a unique story as well.
In the various programs, kids and adults will learn about basic horse care or riding skills – but ALSO find their minds and hearts loved and challenged. More often than not, horse and person personalities are magically matched to further the emotional and mental growth. To quote from their website: “There is one main purpose — to mentor the individual, helping to instill positive attitudes, integrity, grit, and purpose.”
Programs offered are: mentorships, horsemanship classes, equine therapy, homeschool classes, riding lessons, and more. They are also ESA certified. There are child and adults programs available.

We took a ranch tour this week and the kids got a brief experience in proper horse care. Our guide, Sage, was incredibly kind and fun, while also challenging the kids to observe their horse in the process.
We also got to feed the farm animals! The goats were the most curious, and the sheep the sweetest. There’s also chickens, pigs, and a tortoise! The ranch and animals were well cared for and loved. And it was evident that staff, mostly volunteers, truly love their job and what the ranch stands for.
