Enchanted Island Amusement Park

For a 2021 review of Enchanted Island, read this blog post.

The Enchanted Island Amusement Park is located in the middle of Encanto Park, which was named by Forbes as one of the top 12 best city parks in America! Enchanted Island has more than a dozen rides and attractions for children 1 –10, a great snack bar, and pedal boats for the family.

The C.P. Huntington Train is a one-third scale replica of the original steam train by that name, which operated for nearly 50 years, and was instrumental in the creation of the western part of the Trans-Continental Railroad. The C.P. Huntington will take you on a seven minute tour around the island, and is in fact one of the most popular on the Enchanted Island.

Encanto Carousel, another highlight of the island, is Arizona’s oldest continuously operating merry-go-round, which began operating in 1948, more than sixty-five years ago! During the late 1980s, the carousel was completely refurbished, returning it to its original glory.

The Splash Zone, open during the summer months, is a great way to stay cool, with flower showers, a dumping bucket, water mushrooms, and more. Castle Clash is a thrilling battle of mischievous doom, where two sides fire at each other from opposing castle walls with water canons. In the Red Baron ride, children 35″ – 58″ fly in a circle around the control tower, with full control over going up & down. Besides these, Enchanted Island has many entertaining attractions and rides, such as Kiddie Cars, Bumper Boats, and $3 Games of Skill, with a prize for every time you play!

Admission to Enchanted Island is free, you just pay for each ride you go on. You can buy individual tickets, packs of tickets, day passes, or a yearly pass. For full details, visit their admissions page. Enchanted Island also has special packages for birthday parties, field trips, and company picnics.
