Wonderspaces in Scottsdale surprised us. Taking kids to an art show might not have been first on our list, but Wonderspaces elevated the experience by having interactive and immersive rooms. Our kids really enjoyed it!

Some of our favorites were the endless mirrors (the exhibit name is Radiance), a shadow room, adding tape lines (Rules), the light dome, and “the disco room” (Light Leaks). We were the most intrigued by the Killing Time exhibit, which also had a science aspect. The art exhibits change; you can see a current list of displays on the website. Note that some of the rooms have music and flashing lights. The latter didn’t bother us, but our kids weren’t crazy on a few musical selections, which had a heavy vibe.

Overall, this was a fun outing that gave us a better appreciation for different types of art. In a day of fast-paced entertainment, it’s often difficult for children to slow down. Even for a minute, studying art challenges the brain to think differently. Information isn’t just handed to them, it’s sought out. Thanks to Wonderspaces for having us!
