My friend recently tried out a Donut Boat rental on Tempe Town Lake and had such a fun time! This Arizona weather is perfect for water activities, so I thought I would share this with everyone.
The donut boat ride was awesome! It holds up to 10 people. Although it was super shaded for us with the umbrella there are times that parts of the boat were sunny so wear sunscreen.
We did an hour which was perfect for us with the kids, I think any longer and they would have started going crazy. An hour got us around the whole lake and back to where we started with some time for us to stop and watch the other boaters and kayakers.
We brought lots of snacks, water and juice. No alcohol is allowed. The kids had a blast and they do provide life jackets for all kids, also any adults who want them.
Your rental comes with a Bluetooth speaker so you can hook your phone up to it. They do go over the driving instructions with whoever the “captain” is going to be. Once on the water kids also sat on dad’s lap and helped him steer it.

They are pretty much sold out on all spots during the weekend as they only have 4 boats so if you’re going to book, do it early and in advance. You most likely won’t be able to get one if you do a walk-up. However, there are other rental options available. Definitely recommend it for a family outing or adult night out!
