The ranch runs almost resort style, but with a western flair. Breakfast is included with your stay, and lunch and dinner are also served. There is a pool (not heated) and hot tub year round, and activities like horseback riding, ATV rides, archery, and more. There are sweeping views of the Dragoon Mountains, beautiful sunrises, and a sky full of brilliant stars to admire at night.

We stayed two nights, adding horseback riding and the cowboy dinner to our experience. Kids must be 5 and older to ride, so just our 11 and 8 year old took the hour ride. They loved it! It was their first time being on a horse too. Their guide was fantastic. Highly recommend adding this experience to your stay! There are longer trail ride options available as well.

The cowboy dinner consisted of three courses, starting with a salad, and ending with a tasty gingerbread cake. The entree was stuffed chicken, veggies, and potatoes with gravy. Our favorite was the stuffed chicken! The menu does change, and you can also order from a small menu (like chicken tenders for littles). The bar is also open.

Breakfast in the mornings was very filling! There was always toast and bagels available, as well as oatmeal. Then add made to order omelets or pancakes, plus bacon or sausage, and hash browns to complete your plate. With both meals we had at the ranch, we were impressed by the quality and quantity. Just what we needed to for a day of exploring!

Another fun aspect of the ranch is the rooms. You feel like you are stepping back in to time with the downtown Tombstone feel on the exterior and interior! We chose a Junior Suite room for our stay, which had a bedroom with a queen bed, another queen bed in the living room area, and a large bathroom with a shower. There was also a mini fridge and coffee maker, and TV in each room. We were very comfortable!

If you’re looking for a family friendly option while exploring Southern Arizona, definitely look up Tombstone Monument Ranch!
