Feed the sweetest deer, the friendliest rabbits, the prettiest parakeets, the most enormous tortoises, and MORE at Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch near Tucson!
We had a blast here! All the animals are definitely used to being fed, so be prepared for eagerness and some pushiness, ha. You’ll find donkeys, goats, deer, ducks, sheep, bunnies, tortoises, parakeets, ostriches, and stingrays!
Each animal has their own penned area but is easy to access. The feed you receive consists of one big cup, which has treats for most of the animals. There are smaller cups and treats for specific animals, like the tortoise, and you’ll receive coins to get special feed for animals like rabbits. Signs on each pen help you remember which feed to give the animal in front of you.
Our favorites were deer and rabbits. Only Dad was brave enough to get a goat kiss! The ostriches were impressive, and a little intimidating. But our absolute fave was the free-flying parakeet atrium! Be warned, they are aggressive in getting the feed! Our three-year-old did not like this experience. But you can get several parakeets on your arm and some fun photos!
