Disney in Concert With the Phoenix Symphony. Disney is so much more than theme parks and expensive merchandise. It’s about the animation and the beautiful music that accompanies the films that we have grown up adoring.

I can’t imagine a more magical experience than enjoying live Disney soundtracks coming to life by a beautiful orchestra. We were lucky enough to attend the Phoenix Symphony and experience Disney in Concert: Around the World. This series is led by American conductor, Anthony Parnther, who had amazing energy and clearly shared a love of Disney magic.

Attending this performance allowed our family to introduce our children to the beauty of a live orchestra with familiar songs that the kids were truly able to enjoy and appreciate. The live orchestra plays beloved arrangements with scenes from the movie playing on a big screen. Being in an auditorium designed for a Symphony, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. My children, aged 5 and 8, absolutely adored this show and were the perfect age for this event.

We arrived about 45 minutes early and parked in the Regency Garage right across the street from the Symphony Hall. We ordered a few hot chocolates (there is no food available for purchase) and enjoyed the cute Disney decor while waiting for the house to open. Booster seats are available for smaller children.

The show featured multiple Disney arrangements, with a beautiful introduction and story from the conductor. The show has a short intermission which is perfect for a bathroom trip and drinks refill. The show lasted about two hours including intermission. Most people were dressed in office casual, and many people had Disney attire accompanying their outfits (ears, Disney jewelry, etc).

I highly encourage families to consider introducing their children to live music and this is the perfect show for that! There are also many more family-friendly shows coming up at the Phoenix Symphony! You can see the upcoming schedule here. Thank you to the Phoenix Symphony for hosting our family!

Disney in Concert: Around the World has two more showtimes: Saturday, November 26th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, November 27th at 2:30 pm. See their website to purchase tickets and read more about the show.

I love planning staycations, taking trips to California, or going anywhere we can when I have a few days off! I love to go out to restaurants, binge-watch TV shows with my husband, and keep up with everything Disney! I am grateful that my work-from-home husband keeps up with the laundry and dishes so that I can spend my free time having fun and planning the next family adventure! By exposing my kids to the world around them, I hope that I teach them to love having fun as much as I do! Follow my Instagram @lindsaylutes to see more of my family and our fun adventures.
