EC Street Playtown

**This location is permanently closed.**

But here are some other great indoor play areas that we recommend:

Playtime Oasis (Scottsdale)

PlayGrounds Fun Zone and Cafe (Glendale)

We Rock the Spectrum (Scottsdale)

Jubeelieve Indoor Play Place (Avondale)

Makutu’s Island (Chandler)

Party Jungle (Phoenix)

Looking for a new indoor activity this summer? Check out EC Street Playtown!

Opened in November 2014, this 3,000 square foot play area has over a dozen stations to keep kids ages up to 9yrs old happily occupied for hours. There’s a grocery store, build-it room, a ride thru car wash/circular track with plenty of tricycles and kid cars, an arts and crafts table, musical stage and much more! Two areas are also sectioned off for infants to play safely with age appropriate toys. Snacks are available for purchase, or you are welcome to bring your own food and eat in the cafe area. Also of note are two family sized restrooms with changing tables and potty seats for toddlers.

We took our two kids to check out EC Street on a Monday morning and ended up spending 4hrs exploring and creating. Emily (almost 4) loved the arts and crafts (open cupboard policy — lots of stickers, colored paper, glue, glitter, paper plates and paint for endless possibilities). She must have decorated at least four foam Easter eggs! Puzzles and the like on a nearby shelf caught her interest too.

When asked what her favorite activities were she immediately said, “The bicycles!” And later added the kid size trampoline. Lots of talk about that trampoline! Emily also kept returning to the grocery store and play house area for imagining of all kinds.

Owen (4 months) wasn’t quite old enough to take advantage of the infant areas, but sure did love watching other kids play. There were clean playmate available if we wanted to let him wiggle on the couch or floor; when done, we placed it in the used bin to be washed and ready for another little one.

Free wifi is available for adults (and kids who may come with younger siblings). Comfortable seating is strategically placed so you can relax and yet keep an eye on your children. Everything is very clean, the air circulation perfect, and the background music hearable but not adding to the chaos of happy children.

Overall, we really enjoyed our morning and will be back! EC Street Playtown is comparable to places like Imagination Avenue or Playgrounds Fun Zone, having more play options in a larger building and less crowded. Plus there are good food options in the strip mall area, with a Subway right next door.

This is great place to beat the heat and have fun!
