Goodyear Recreational Campus Park in Goodyear

Goodyear Recreational Campus Park is located directly behind the brand new Goodyear Recreational Campus. The park is free and open to the public, unlike the recreational campus facility and pool that charge a fee. This park includes multiple play structures, including a three-story design with three large slides branching off from it. The second story of the large play structure also has a bridge leading to it, again allowing for handicap accessibility and versatile play.

This campus park is remarkably cool! We visit many parks, and I would have to say that this park is currently, hands down, the best park in the West Valley. I mean, they could improve on having more shade structures over the play equipment, but that’s my only complaint.

The Goodyear Recreational Campus Park is made for all abilities; much of the park is handicap accessible, which is not a commonly found aspect of many West Valley parks. This park includes multiple play structures, including a three-story design with three large slides branching off from it. The second story of the large play structure also has a bridge leading to it, again allowing for handicap accessibility and versatile play.

The zipline was a big hit for my kids, and we loved that there is something there for every age. My five, three, and one year old all had the equipment they could engage with, from climbing equipment and tunnels to teeny baby slides.

The Goodyear Recreational Campus Park has a unique yet functional layout. I’ve heard complaints from some moms about the hills because the hills don’t allow for the parent to sit in one place and be able to keep an eye on their child the whole time. But I haven’t had that problem the last couple of times we have been. The park also includes sand volleyball, soccer fields, basketball courts, and plenty of room to ride bikes, scooters, or power walk around.

Find parking at the Goodyear Recreational Campus and then walk back. The park itself is kinda hidden back there, but it’s there, and it’s awesome! Note that Google or Apple Maps may not have this new park listed yet. Have faith, it’s there!
