Teeny Town Playland

Teeny Town Playland is a new indoor play area in Litchfield Park, and absolutely adorable. The west side of Phoenix has long needed a place for littles to use their imagination in every day role play. Teeny Town will be loved by children and parents!

There are eight different sections to explore in Teeny Town, all decorated with charm. Be a doctor, work in a market, make pizza, or be a construction worker! Other areas include a garage with a gas station, a fire station, and a schoolroom. In the center is an adorable play house with a slide in the back. Each section comes with a variety of extras like dress up clothes or tools. There are also a couple push cars to enjoy.

Our 4 year old loved the construction area the most! The tools and building items were right up his alley, not to mention the rideable excavator. Our 7 year old spent more of her time in the school room, or in the adorable cafe making pasta and pizza for new friends.

Teeny Town reminded us of the kid sized town area at Luv2Play in Surprise. And did anyone visit EC Street back in 2014? There’s the same imaginative vibe here as well. It’s small but the perfect size for children!

On Tuesdays and Fridays you can sign up for an art class or science class! The days alternate so call ahead to confirm and to reserve your limited spot. We joined on a craft day and made a cute Mother’s Day handprint flower, complete with a photo of the child. The craft area is separate from the playarea, sectioned off by a gate and low wall, and also used for birthday parties!

Another area near the front has half a dozen tables and chairs for snack time. Snacks and drinks are sold at the register, or you can bring your own. There’s also a couple comfy chairs. Restrooms are easily accessible at the back, along with drinking fountains.

I had a chance to chat briefly with the owner, Courtney. She recently became a stay at home mom and was searching for activities to do with her own little one. After noticing the lack of local play areas, she decides to start her own! Teeny Town is clearly a labor of love, a welcoming place from one mom to another.

Teeny Town is open to ages 0-10 to play. (We think it best suited for ages 6 and under.) Admission is $10/child ages 2-10 or $6/child ages 6-23 months, with $20% discount per sibling. You can play as long as you like! They also offer affordable monthly memberships. Admission hours are Monday- Saturday 9am-4pm, closed Sundays. Socks are required for adults and children. They also offer a modest toy selection to purchase, with items that your kids may have enjoyed playing with that morning. Lots of fabulous Melissa and Doug options! There’s some homemade signs and shirts for sale too, from a local business.
