Scottsdale Civic Center Library was the first library I ever took my kids to! It has yet to disappoint us.
Youth
We originally came for the castle and toys, but stay for all the fun this library has to offer. From bundles of grab-and-go books to fun and unique story times and all kinds of public events, the City of Scottsdale libraries are great. The Civic Center branch has a gorgeous castle with a hidden reading nook and books for every reading level, and best of all it is all off in one wing, so if your kid isn’t using their library voice it’s not as stressful.
There are quite a few computers located throughout the library. Some are for young learners in the castle area and some are for bigger kids to work on.
I love that I can venture over here near a holiday and find books.
Create
This Create section has a different theme each month and you can ask the staff for the tools and make your own craft.
The toys are back at the castle of the Scottsdale Civic Center Library!
Scavenger Hunt
My kids love little touches like this. The front desk has laminated sheets that you can pick up and search the youth section for the items.
