Just 3 hours from Phoenix is the amazing town of Show Low and it's packed full of family friendly activities! We first visited briefly in 2013, and returned just last year. The town has changed so much, and for the good! It's definitely a place you'll want to visit. And return to.

5 Things to Do in Show Low, AZ With Kids. Just 3 hours from Phoenix is the amazing town of Show Low and it’s packed full of family friendly activities! We first visited briefly in 2013, and returned just last year. The town has changed so much, and for the good! It’s definitely a place you’ll want to visit. And return to.

Fish, kayak, camp, or hike at Fools Hollow State Park. We fell in love with this park! The area is easy to navigate, we explored on our kayak and on the trails too. Bathrooms are located in several spots for convenience.

Hike the easy 1.5 mile Show Low Bluff Trail and play in the creek. We barely made finished the hike, the kids just wanted to play in the creek. Our son also tried fishing but didn’t catch anything.

Show Low City Park has three zip lines! Such a fun park. Newly updated too. We played here twice during our weekend stay!

Learn local history and admire the model train setup at the Show Low Historical Museum. Even if your kids aren’t history buffs, there’s enough to keep their interest.

Need food? Try Bertie’s White Mountain Cafe and Donuts, PersNIKKIty’s Cafe, or Arizona Mountain Coffee Company. So many good restaurants in Show Low! There’s also fast food options, as well as several grocery stores.

Bonus: stay at the Treetop Terrace home with Getaway Properties like we did! This place fit our family nicely and had amazing views.

There’s also the Petrified National Forest nearby, and we’ve camped at Big Lake near Greer.
