The Spooktacular Hot Air Balloon Festival 2022 is a fun Halloween event that combines kid favorites, food trucks, and real hot air ballons with trick-or-treating!

Bounce Houses

There are rows and rows of all different kinds of bounce houses. Kids enjoyed climbing and bouncing their hearts out. The one thing I would note, is that when the kids exit the slides, they are one way only, so I could see a young kid running off very easily. There are volunteers working back there. I went and met my kids at the back of each slide to help them find their way back.

Tethered Balloon Rides

Ride a hot air balloon and get up high and see the entire festival laid out before you! Balloons went up approximately 20 feet in the air and stayed up maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I could not tell how many people were in a basket at a time, but these baskets are much larger than the ones that are inflating, room for a group.  There Tickets sold separately at festival.

Hot Air Balloons

Watching the balloons go up was mesmerizing. We sat and watched numerous balloons going up. Probably my favorite part of the night!

Trick or Treating

Over 4,000 pounds of candy was there for trick or treating at each of the balloons.  We had fun running around to each of the 20 balloons to say trick or treat, we even ran into Anna from Aerendelle!

Food Trucks

There were dozens of food trucks. Lots of food options for all kinds of different taste buds. The one thing I would note, if you are planning on having dinner, like we were, eat early or later in the evening. We easily waited 40 minutes in line waiting for the one thing my picky eater wanted.
