Great Skate in Glendale is like a retro flashback to the simple fun of roller skating! And fun!
Can you believe we’ve never been to a roller rink before? Our oldest loves rollerblading around the neighborhood, but that’s about it. It was so fun to join friends at Great Skate and wear out our legs for a couple of hours! We went round and round so many times and enjoyed the music, and disco ball.
We had heard some reports of Great Skate being average. The inside building atmosphere could use some TLC, maybe updated carpet and seating, but the skates were in top condition. The skating floor could use some repair. Nothing unsafe, just some rough spots that could use some love. Again, it’s like a retro setting – brings back the skating fun of the 90’s!
Besides the rink, there’s also an arcade area, a cafe with snacks and drinks, and plenty of seating. Bring the whole family out for the skating fun! We didn’t try the arcade or snacks, but maybe next time.
Great Skate in Glendale is usually open evenings and weekends, with some afternoon open skate times. It varies so please check the website! Skate rental is $4.50 (can bring your own), and the admission price varies from $5-$11. Check their online schedule for what deal works for you! There is a $3 charge for non-participating adults. Skate helpers are $7.
