Marana Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival in Marana. This annual pumpkin patch is located 1.5 hours south of Phoenix (30 min north of Tucson), has a little bit of everything, and we loved it! 2021 was our first visit and for sure not our last. There was enough to keep us busy for over 5 hours on a Sunday. (We would have stayed longer but the Arizona temps were reaching mid-90’s.)

What will you find here? Set in a new location this year, you’ll find rides, a petting zoo, baked goods and other concessions, a train ride, two playgrounds, an epic corn maze, and more! The only activities not included with admission are: the rock wall ($8/person), zipline ($10/person), pony rides ($7/person), tomato cannon ($1/shot), and of course any pumpkins or food and drink purchased.

There are three unique aspects to this popular pumpkin patch:

  • the corn maze has THREE different levels! Yes, all in one maze, there is a short and easy option and an intermediate and advanced option. Perfect for any age!
  • there is a great mixture of old-fashioned and modern rides. Bounce on the jumping pillow, or have fun on the playgrounds. Then enjoy an oversized slide, swing rides, pedal cars, or pay extra for the rock wall, tomato cannon, and zipline. We did it all and the kids had a blast!
  • the pumpkin patch has a tractor ride option out to the field, or grab and go from a selection of pre-picked pumpkins. (Psst, also makes for great photo ops.) The bakery also had some yummy treats for sale, and we had some decent fast food from the Food Barn.

Is Marana comparable to Mortimer Farms, another popular day trip for pumpkin patches? We’d say yes! Mortimer is a working farm and available to visit year-round, whereas Marana is currently a seasonal setup. Both offer great activities and food! Mortimer is old-fashioned fun, while Marana has more of a festival feel. Keep in mind too, that Mortimer will also be cooler by about 10-15 degrees. Marana will be about the same temps as Phoenix.

We say, definitely put the Marana Pumpkin Patch and Fall Festival on your list!

This event runs now through October 31, 2021, open Thursday & Friday (3-8pm), and Saturday & Sunday (9am-8pm). Tickets are $15/person on weekdays, and $17/person on weekends. Ages 2 and under are free! More information can be found on their website. They also have a Christmas event, so follow them on social media for info about this!
